Job Description

Key Areas Responsibilities
Presales & Solutioning Proactively scope and design the technical and business solution needed to address customer requirements
Receive input from all necessary solution stakeholders and adapt solution demonstrations to ensure a clear representation of how the companys services/product addresses the customers needs and will ultimately provide a benefit to the customer
If possible, recommend solutions that optimize value for both the customer and Vertex.
Perform solution analysis and develop customer facing proposals, RFI/RFP responses and contribute to the development of statement of work
Participate in the delivery of Proof of Concept engagements at key prospects
Good Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (.Net, SharePoint and Azure), Salesforce (CRM and Force.com), and Sitecore-Content Management
New Business Generation Working with data research team in activities involving Industry forecast, competitor analysis, prospect profiling, etc. using various research tools
Working closely with Sales Team to provide Presales and Bid management support on new / emerging business opportunities
Bid Management Bid Planning: preparing a sound plan for the pursuit and ensure that the bid is run in line with the bid plan and drive it to closure on time
Bid Qualification: Participating in Go/No-Go decision
Identify Win Themes & Value Proposition statements
Work with different teams to come up with technical and business perspective questions based on the scope of work of an opportunity
Work with the Solution team to build a solution for Microsoft (.Net, Azure, SharePoint), Sitecore, and Salesforce opportunities. Ensuring that proposed solution is in line with client requirements
Prepare formal, detailed, and comprehensive business proposals for Go RFPs for Microsoft Technologies (SharePoint, .Net and Azure), Salesforce (CRM and Force.com), Sitecore-Content Management and IT Staff Augmentation
Prepare a Work Breakdown Structure with clearly defined roles and responsibilities of authors and reviewers of the proposal
Meet proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals
Schedule regular calls (daily stand up meetings) to track status and ensure progress of the response building in line with submission timelines
Ensure the proposal components are all integrated and all aspects of the RFP/RFI requirements are fulfilled in the proposal
Knowledge Management Maintain Presales Repository (SharePoint portal) for managing re-usable components in an organized manner
Develop new boilerplate materials for proposals to improve proposal quality and content
Obtain feedback from projects for lessons learned to incorporate in future proposals
